Bangalore Aiport is also known as HAL Airport. It is situated on the Airport Road, about 6 km from G Road—the city centre. The Banglore airport is divided into two terminals - one to cater for domestic passengers and another for international passengers. Bangalore International Airport currently handles over 70 international and domestic flight landings everyday. A new International Airport at Bangalore is coming up at Devanahalli, around 35km from the city. The airport is being built by collaboration of Siemens-Zurich Airport-L&T consortium, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Karnataka State Investment and Industrial Development Corporation (KSIIDC). The new airport is expected to be completed by April 2008 and would offer facilities comparable with the best international airports.
