Jaipur Airport is the only international airport in the state of Rajasthan. Jaipur Airport was granted the status of international airport on December 29, 2005. The Jaipur airport is located at Sanganer near Jaipur. With the runway length of 9,000 feet and the civil apron capable of accommodating four A-320 aircraft at a time, the terminal building can cater to 500 passengers at a time. Plans are afoot to extend the runway length to 12,000 feet and expand terminal building to accommodate 1,000 passengers per hour.

Presently, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Air Deccan, Air Sahara, Go Air, and Air India operate from Jaipur. The international status given to Jaipur Airport is expected to boost up tourism in Rajasthan.
